New Orleans based group Atlantic Soul Collective is an acclaimed ensemble of artists that bridges the Americas in an artistic journey. Formed by a cast of celebrated musicians and producers — each with a distinguished international career — the group forges a living connection between cultures and rhythms of the hemisphere, blending soul, jazz, R&B, blues, and elements of Latin American and Brazilian music with authenticity, sensitivity, and creative freedom.
Together, they bring the experience of performing on stages around the world — from major festivals to iconic venues — and joining forces with world-class talents across genres. More than a joint venture, Atlantic Soul Collective is the result of an organic bond between a family of musicians who share deep musical values, active listening, and a commitment to the legacy of the sound they love — while opening new sonic pathways rooted in that tradition.
While each member continues to pursue a vibrant solo career, they see Atlantic Soul Collective as fertile ground to create original work together — releasing collaborative singles and an upcoming EP. DANNY ABEL — Guitar Based in New Orleans since 2001, Danny Abel is a world-touring musician and one of the main guitar names in the city. A Grammy nominee, he has played and recorded with Tank and the Bangas, Big Freedia, Stanton Moore, and The Revivalists, and also produces music for film, TV, and commercials.
TERENCE HIGGINS — Drums Born in New Orleans in 1970, Terence Higgins is the drummer for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and a cornerstone of the city's groove tradition. He has toured and recorded with the Warren Haynes Band, John Scofield, Ani DiFranco, George Porter Jr., and Dumpstaphunk, and was part of The Last Waltz 40 tour.
TOM WORRELL is a pianist, producer, and composer from New Orleans whose playing moves naturally through jazz, blues, funk, and soul. He has worked with Johnny Adams, Deacon John, The Wild Magnolias, Solomon Burke, and Mem Shannon, and was Grammy-nominated in 2025 for his work with Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.
LUCIANO LEÃES is a Brazilian pianist, composer, and producer recognized by the New Orleans Jazz Museum as a leading figure of New Orleans R&B and jazz in Latin America. Dubbed "The Piano Professor" by Blues Matters! Magazine in a two-page feature, he's a disciple of organist Ron Levy and has performed with Carey Bell, Hubert Sumlin, and Tony Coleman, playing festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Montreal Jazz Festival.
SEAN CAREY is a New Orleans-based producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans soul, hip hop, R&B, funk, and film scoring. As singer and producer, he has worked with Irma Thomas, Galactic, Soul Rebels Brass Band, 2 Chainz, Mannie Fresh, Lil Wayne, and PJ Morton.
AURÉLIEN BARNES — Trumpet, Percussion, Vocals Son of zydeco legend Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes, Aurélien picked up his first trumpet at seven and came up through New Orleans' brass band and Black Masking Indian traditions, including the New Breed Brass Band and the Northside Skull and Bone Gang. He's a founding member of The Rumble, the twice Grammy-nominated Mardi Gras Indian funk band.
